The Readability Analyser is a fast text analyser which provides multiple indices for estimating the readability of a text. Unlike other indices, it does not rely on discredited methods which use word or sentence length, or syllable counts.

Traditional indices provide no indication of where readability difficulties may lie in a text: they merely give a score for the entire text. The Readability Analyser relies on word collocation to generate indices of how well a text is written. It also provides colour coded clues as to how a text could be rendered more readable.
